Load up
Choose a spreadable tasty treat that your dog will love and load up your lick mat. We love to use peanut butter, boiled yams, plain yogurt or coconut oil - switch it up, experiment and see what your pup loves best.
Step 2
Strap in
Adjust the velcro head straps to fit your head size and ensure a snug fit. You don't want slippage!
Step 3
Get lickin'
Settle into a comfortable position with your pup and let them start lickin' at their tasty treat while you clip. And voila! There you have it, calm, stress-free and tasty nail trim complete.

The obvious questions
Wait - its really a lick mat that straps to your head?
Yes! We've designed the lick mat to fit comfortably onto your head so that it stays in place even if your pup is a very enthusiastic licker!
Is the silicone safe for dogs?
The silicone we use is food safe and thus safe for both you and your dog.
What sort of treats can I use with the Lick n' clip?
You can use any treat that is spreadable and safe for your dog to consume. You want to make sure its something that they really love! For example, Peanut butter (additive free), plain greek yogurt, pure pumpkin or wet dog food to name a few options.
How do I clean it?
When you are all done using the Lick n' Clip remove the strap from the lick mat surface and you can place it right into the dishwasher on the top rack or a good ol' hand scrub works too with your regular dish soap.
The strap, once removed can also be tossed into the washing machine or hand washed in warm soapy water.
Will it fit my dog?
The Lick n' Clip is one size fits all and we've tested it out on dogs ranging from small to large.

When should I NOT use the Lick n' Clip?
Lick n' Clip isn't the right tool for every dog. Don't use it with a dog who has a known history of aggression, resource guarding, or bite incidents. Even for dogs without that history, stop immediately if you notice stiffening, growling, whale eye, lip curling, or any other sign of stress or discomfort during use — these are warning signs, not something to push through. If your dog shows any of these signs, remove the mat, end the session, and don't try again without guidance from a vet or a certified trainer.
Because the mat sits close to your face, use good judgment about your own dog's temperament before trying it, and always supervise use.
